Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Crisp

Being gluten free AND intolerant to pumpkin AND eggs during fall is pretty much torture. I made this delicious gluten free, vegan apple cinnamon crisp that satisfies all my fall cravings! Try it out and let me know what you think :)

  • 2 apples, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

  • 5 drops liquid stevia

  • 1 3oz Bobo's Oat Bar (I prefer Maple Pecan), crumbled

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Mix coconut oil with cinnamon and stevia and stir.

  3. In a large bowl, mix together the coconut oil / cinnamon / stevia mixture with the chopped apples, make sure all of the apples are evenly coated. Add the crumbled oat bar to the mixture and stir.

  4. Place mixture in a glass container and place in the oven, bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

  5. Serve and enjoy!

Health Benefits of Ingredients

  • Apples: Apples are an excellent source of Vitamin C, pectin, and other fibers. They are also a good source of potassium and phytochemicals. Apple consumption was shown to be consistently associated with a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, asthma and type 2 diabetes compared to other fruits, according to an analysis of over 85 studies.

  • Cinnamon: There are scientific studies to support the use of cinnamon as a sedative for smooth muscle, circulatory stimulant, carminative, digestant, anticonvulsant, diaphoretic, diuretic, antibiotic, and anti-ulcerative.

To your health and happiness,
